During my freshman year I learned the importance of coffee. Too tired to study? Coffee. Eyes drooping while I’m driving to school at 6am? Coffee. In the last year or so I’ve began to appreciate the taste of coffee much more. Right now I’m starting to learn to taste coffees from different regions and recognize their different characteristics. And so goes my first forays into coffee geekery.
While searching for good information about coffee online, I came across the Weekly Roast Blog. I was shocked at how much well-written, concise, yet detailed information I found just on the first page. This is definitely a great resource for coffee enthusiasts, not to mention their great looking cleanly laid out site. (Carrington WP theme for the win)
Under the Table and Dreaming (by Dave Matthews Band) is an album that I have been listening to for years, and yet it seems like every time that I sit down for a good, thorough listening I hear one detail or another for the first time. Even if its a tiny fragment of an organ outlining a chord or acoustic guitar strum that’s seemingly hidden far back in the left speaker, there is always a little something that puts a smile on my face. I think that almost by definition, this is what makes good album great.
So, in the quest for good music, tell me, what album does this for you?
I recently came across an old backup of KAOS Planet circa 2003 in my archives a box of old stuff in my basement. This was the site I designed in middle school so my fellow students and I could play online games during class. You can check it out at www.kaosplanet.com/oldkaos. Alot of the links are dead, but it is what it is, right? I also must urge you to proceed with caution. This old site has a tendency to make some Firefox installations crash, but definitely runs fine in Safari and IE7. (Works on most Firefox installs but crashes a few).
NOTE: Crank up your PC speakers and listen to that awesome website theme music composed, arranged, and recorded by my friend, Alex Sikorski.
The FAIL Blog has got to be one of my favorite online sources of relaxation and recreation. No matter what my day has been like these guys get me to laugh. For those of you unfamiliar; you just have to see for yourself. One of my favorite “FAILs” is the Car in Park FAIL. Watch below and let me know what you think!
Lets be honest. I haven’t been keeping up with this blog, and I am sorry for that. Some people seem to think that I had a good thing going, so I am going to press onward. Currently, I am really trying to define some focus for the blog, in order to attract readers.
I know that I would like Apple/Mac to be a part of this focus, although I am not sure yet how. I assure you that in the future there will be more posts, and more focus.
In other news, has anyone been paying attention to what Apple has been doing? These Leopard delays have me a bit worried… Lets all keep our fingers crossed that it actually is released in October
